act one summary
In enrichment we are learning about play called macbeth it takes place in the eleventh century in scotland and they are at war with norway and sweden the only reason they are victorious is because of a warrior named Macbeth. after the war when macbeth and his friend Banquo are on their way home three witches appear and told Macbeth he was thane (mayor) of Glamis the thane of Cawdor and the king thereafter they told Banquo he wouldn't be a king but have a king. Macbeth sent a letter to his wife telling of the witches and all that had happen. she thinks they need to kill the king so she can be queen. later she finds out the king is coming to her house and she persuades Macbeth to murder him when he is dormant they will give the guards wassail and wine so they will pass out and then they will steal the guards daggers and slaughter the king and with the blood they will smear it on the guards. |  |
act two summary
At the begining of act two Banquo and his son Fleance are walking around the palace they run into macbeth who instructs them to go to sleep.when they leave he starts seeing a floating dagger it turns over and it is covered with a blanket of murdery blood. he reaches for it only to find it is a fragment of his imagination. lady macbeth calls for him. when he gets there the house is dorment,everyone is asleep.lady macbeth is waiting for macbeth when he arrives he says that he heard someone in the next room.after he talks about it lady macbeth sees that he still has his daggers he was supposed to give to the sleeping guards.so she takes them and does it herself.then someone knocks at the door.

act 3 summary
In act three macbeth is king and he is having a banquet. Before time banquo and his son fleance go out on a horse ride. It will take all day,but they promise macbeth they will be back that night. While their gone Macbeth brings the murderers in and tells them that if they kill Banquo he will bring them up in society. When they leave Lady Macbeth and Macbeth talk and Macbeth doesn't tell her his plan. Lady macbeth finds she no longer controls her husband any more. Meanwhile, a third murderer joins the duet on the way to subtract Banqou and Fleance from the world's equation. when they attack them the murderers kill Banquo , but fleance escapes. Back at the castle, everybody arriving for the the banquet. When one of the murderers arrive at the door wearing a winter coat of blood. He tells macbeth what happened and left. When it is about time to eat banquo is not there and everybody is wondering why. When it's time to eat macbeth has to toast since banquo is not there. when Macbeth is going to sit down Banquo's ghost is in his seat. He goes wild he starts yelling and screaming.'don't flip your gory locks at me!" later hecate arrives and is angry with the witches. she starts screaming at them that they have being doing stuff without her. Lennox is talking to a lord and is suspicous that macbeth is behind the latest murders. | banquo's ghost  |
act four summary
Act four is filled of magic. Macbeth goes back to the witches wanting to know more about what lies ahead. The witches were making a potion and out of the cauldron they were making it in came three apparitions. The first apparition was a head with a helmet on its head. It said "fear Macduff". The second one was a bloody child. it said "Fear no man born of a woman'. The third apparition appeared it was a crowned child with a tree branch in it's hand. it said "you will be king until the woods grow legs. Then Macbeth tells them he must know more, and then a fourth apparition came, and it was a long line of kings and they all looked like banquo, and at the end of the line was banquo holding a mirror.Macbeth finds out that macduff is going to try to kill him, so he sends the murderers to kill all his family. Meanwhile, Lady Macduff is mad because Macduff left her to take his army from Fife to England. so, he can overthrow Macbeth. So, she tells her son he is dead. A couple minutes later Ross comes and warns her about the murderers and right after he leaves the murderers arrive, the son protects his mom. they kill him, and she runs they chase her down and kill her. Macduff is in england, and he is talking to him about how scotland has gone down hill. |  Macduff |
act five
We begin act five in the anteroom in the castle in dunsinane. Where a doctor and gentlewoman talk about lady macbeth's sleepwalking problem.She enters acting as though she is cleansing her hands,and then she speaks. She speaks random stuff.In the next scene Menteith, Caithness,Angus,Lennox, and the soldiers are talking.They talk about macbeth not being a good king,and their asking why they fight for him.Later,Macbeth is in a room in the castle.When a servant comes in,and tells him that the England force is coming. Macbeth says he doesn't care that he shall not fear any man born of a woman.He calls in seyton,and puts on his armor (he keeps telling to take it off, and put it back on).Then Macbeth hears a scream,and tells Seyton to go investigate it. Seyton comes back,and says that Lady Macbeth is dead.In the next scene the outragious batle begins.Young Siward finds Macbeth first,and dies in five seconds flat. Next Macduff finds him,and Macbeth says he will fear no man born of a woman.Macduff then says he wasn't born of a woman that he was ripped from his mother.They figjht,and in about twenty minutes Macbeth is dead. Macduff takes his head to the soldiers,and declares victory. Malcolm says they can go back home,and he becomes king of Scotland.
